Hello World!
This beautiful picture of Earth was taken by NASA astronaut and Artemis II Commander Reid Wiseman from the Orion spacecraft’s window after completing the translunar injection burn, a propulsive manoeuvre used to send a spacecraft toward the Moon. 🌒 "With this burn to the moon, we do not leave Earth. We choose it," said Christina Koch, the first woman to journey around the moon and the first astronaut to have one-hour-show, THUNK in Space, dedicated to her. THUNK in Space is a unique collaboration between artist duo D.FOE and THUNK Radio🧑🚀As he marvelled at Earth, Victor Glover, the pilot of Artemis II and the first Black astronaut to travel to deep space, said: "You look amazing, you look beautiful...No matter where you are from or what you look like, we're all one people." 💚 When back on Earth, Christina regularly tunes into D.FOE’s shows. She and her fellow astronauts have been given a pre-recorded version of THUNK in Space to listen to aboard the Artemis II.THUNK in Space has been created to inspire conversation about our planet’s future.
